Starting from July, the rules for entry to Koh Samui change for Russians. Travelers vaccinated against COVID-19 are now allowed in here without having to go through quarantine.
But our compatriots are deprived of the opportunity to use this rule, since domestic drugs were not included in the list of acceptable ones. However, from September 1, the authorities will add Sputnik V to the list, so the situation will be greatly simplified.
For now, all visitors will be required to spend 14 days in self-isolation at a hotel. The stay is at your own expense.
Current tourism program
Visitors to the island fall under one of the programs adopted in Thailand. To enjoy the privileges, you must be vaccinated at least 2 weeks before the trip.
Also, the traveler must stay at one of the approved hotels by the Thai government.
After arriving at the island, foreigners undergo the Samui Plus program:
- You must not leave the hotel for 3 days.
- From the third to the seventh day, it is allowed to move around the island as part of a tourist group.
- From the 8th to the 14th day, you can already visit Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
On Koh Samui, according to the entry rules, quarantine will not be necessary if the PCR test is negative after arrival.
