In 2021, the authorities of the Kingdom took a number of measures related to the epidemiological situation. From July 1, the rules for traveling to Thailand in 2022 have undergone some changes and become much easier.
New conditions
- Earlier, the Sandbox, Test and Go, and Know Quarantine programs were operating in the country. Tourists were supposed to receive a Thai Pass document to visit the country. Now it has been decided to abandon these measures.
- The rules related to vaccination are greatly simplified. Now, you can visit the country with or without a vaccine. Those who are not vaccinated should take a PCR test.
- A visa for Russians is no longer needed if you plan to stay up to 30 days.
- Flight restrictions have been lifted. You can choose any convenient place for your vacation.
- Now you can check into any hotel you like. Previously, it was required to book rooms only in certain hotels.
- $10,000 travel insurance is no longer mandatory.
- Previously, the tourist had to arrange a transfer to the hotel. Moreover, the order was carried out only in the institution where the person will live. Today, this rule does not apply.
Important information about PCR tests
- Tests must be taken by all arrivals who have not been vaccinated.
- The exception is children under 18 who arrive together with vaccinated parents.
- References are accepted in English. It is also recommended to ensure that the document contains the passport number. This issue can be clarified in the laboratory.
- It is better to print the document and have the seal of the issuing organization on it.
