The Thai Embassy announced the entry rules for Russians in 2022. The change comes into effect on July 1st. The Kingdom is very popular with our compatriots due to its hospitality. This is one of the most welcoming countries, which is visited for recreation all year round. However, the pandemic has taken its toll.
There are still some restrictions. But this does not prevent a full journey. All citizens crossing the border are required to adhere to a number of conditions. Requirements may vary depending on the current situation in the tourist's home country.
Rules for visiting Thailand for Russians 2022 - what documents are required?
To visit the state, you must have:
- Negative Covid-19 test. It can be submitted electronically or demonstrated in a paper-based version. The certificate must be issued in English no more than 3 days before departure from the home country. Children will not need this procedure if they are under 6 years old and come with legal guardians.
- Certificate of vaccination or disease. For Russians, Sputnik V is suitable. All stages of vaccination should be completed.
- Those who have recovered from Covid need a certificate of recovery.
- Children traveling with their parents are exempted from this requirement. If the minor arrived unaccompanied and his age is 12-17 years, at least 1 dose of the vaccine is needed.
- From 1.07. this year, the insurance policy for $10,000 is canceled and the Thailand Pass QR-code is not required.
- Everything you need is to be present at the check-in counter at the airport.
Is it possible to be unvaccinated?
This question comes up quite often. Answer: Yes. Vaccination is desirable, but not required. But if the tourist has not been vaccinated, they should have a negative PCR test. However, if there is a certificate of the vaccinated, upon arrival in Thailand, the conditions for entry today will be quite simple.
Is PCR test mandatory for children and adults?
Adults who have not received the vaccine are required to take the test. If an injection was made with Sputnik V (both stages), then PCR is not required. Otherwise, when passing through border control, you will need to show a negative test result.
It is important that the original document be translated into English. In addition, the certificate must contain a QR code.
A special case is the travel of children. If the child is under 12 years old, PCR test is not needed.
