For tourists coming from abroad, it is good news that the rules for entering Thailand are changing in July 2022. From the first day of July, it will only be necessary to show a vaccination certificate confirming the vaccination against COVID-19. If the tourist has not been vaccinated, they will have to present a negative test for the virus, which was received 72 hours before departure to the country.
Documents are accepted both on paper and in digital form. Checks are carried out at airports and at border points. Not everyone is screened, the checks are organized randomly.
What are the conditions for entry into Thailand for the unvaccinated?
- Citizens who are not vaccinated or have not completed the full course of vaccination should have the results of the PCR test.
- Entry will be allowed if PCR is negative.
- Those tourists who cannot show documents will have to pass a special professional test for the presence of antigen directly at the point of arrival.
Previously, the Thailand Pass scheme operated in the Kingdom. Its cancellation was approved by the situational center. In addition, medical insurance was canceled, which amounted to $10,000. Insurance was mandatory for foreign tourists.
Also, Bangkok and 76 other provinces have been added to the green zone. Thanks to this, enterprises and commercial organizations will be able to conduct normal work.
Due to a reasonable approach to the conditions of entry into Thailand, compliance with prevention and security measures, the country will soon be able to move to the post-pandemic stage.
